If your charger is not working, please go through the checklist.
Firstly: Is your charger LED Flashing?
If not, please go through our standard installation video to ensure the unit has been installed correctly.
In particular please check:
- The surface thickness is correct and within 8-12mm (0.31-0.5")
- UTS-2 will not turn on if the charger is below 8mm.
- The unit is attached flush to the surface you are charging through
- The surface is non-metallic or does not contain anything blocking the signal in it. -
- You can test this by removing the charger and testing it on a piece of plywood or a small book that is 0.5" thick.
- You do not have a phone case with - metal plate in it, card holders, pop socket, keyring
If the above has been checked and confirmed.
- Unplug your unit and plug it in again and check if the LED on the unit is on and working.
- If the LED is not working, your unit could be dead - please email support@kewlabstech.com
- Surface alignment - your phone might be slightly misaligned to the charging position. Please use your Alignment tool provided to make sure you have aligned your sticker to the surface.
Flashing LED Issues:
Flashing LED when phone is placed on charger:
- This is an electrical error and means that either:
- Your phone is too close to the charger (below 8mm)
- There is an foreign object detection protocol - i.e - there is metal content between your phone and the charger like card holder or metal place in the case so the device will not turn on. - remove any cases or accessories on your phone and try again.
Flashing LED when there is no phone on charger:
Your device has an electrical error. Try:
- Unplugging your device and reconnecting after more than 20 seconds
- Trying your adapter on a different outlet
- Making sure you're not using the adapter on an extension plug with multiple other devices plugged in
If these solutions don't resolve or reset the charger, please email support@kewlabstech.com for more instructions.
